"Chaminade College Preparatory High School loves St. Judes! Students who graduate from St. Judes are consistently prepared for our college preparatory academic program, and many are admitted into honors classes as freshmen. St Jude students are overall well-disciplined and respectful students who integrate easily into school life here at Chaminade."
- Jill Stewart
Assistant Principal for Faculty and Student Affairs
Chaminade
"I am a former parent and now the school secretary. I have seen the school grow from the beginning to the present. The school has grown and become a wonderful school with great teachers and a wonderful support of parents. The children get a well rounded education with sports, music, computers, art, etc."
- Mrs. Charlotte Annino, Secretary
"I chose to teach at St. Jude's for various reasons, but I can't help but feel that some divine intervention took place! I had recently completed my teaching credential program and was looking high and low for an elementary position. I began to pray to St. Anthony to help me find the perfect job (since he seems to help me find everything else!) and the very next morning I received a phone call from Mrs. Rodriguez. Mrs. Rodriguez and I are college buddies, and she informed me that a First Grade position had recently opened up at St. Jude's. I was ecstatic to hear the news and immediately applied for the position. I guess the rest is history! I was especially happy to be hired at such a great Catholic school since I too am a product of a Catholic school in the valley. Additionally, I feel a closeness to this parish since 27 years ago, Deacon Dornan baptized me at this very church. I am very fortunate and blessed to teach here at St. Jude's and I look forward to the years to come!"
- Natalie Hudson (1st Grade Teacher)
"I chose to teach at St. Jude’s after a long business career. My family has had a deep tradition of Catholic education and I felt it was time for me to give back. I am very honored to be a teacher here. St. Jude’s has a wonderful community of parents and teachers who focus on raising children who are polite, kind, responsible, caring and spiritual."
- Susan Cass (6th Grade Teacher)
Brooke H., 7th grade says, "The best part about St. Judes (besides that all my friends are here!) is that we have the best principal who really cares about the students and is improving our school every second of the day!"
"What we most appreciate about St. Judes is that the heart of our school is the family atmosphere and the way this community supports each other. In addition to the exceptional academic and Catholic education that our daughter is receiving, she is guided and encouraged by the most wonderful role models who exemplify the kind of values we strive to instill in our own home. The children here are not just taught, they are nurtured."
- Steve and Tracy H.
"We send our kindergarteners to St. Jude School so that they can learn about Jesus at home and at school. William likes to go to St. Jude School because he likes to pray for God. Brianna likes to go there because she likes to learn."
- Gracy, Steve, William and Brianna R. (Kindergarten)
"We are happy to have our daughter in an environment that encourages her to be a loving, caring, and spiritually-centered child. We have enjoyed meeting all the new parents, students, and teachers that have been so welcoming to us as a new family at Saint Jude The Apostle School."
- Nicole & Eric D.
"Cole's first thoughts were that he loves learning about God. He also really likes how respectful everyone is to each other & Prays together & the hugs. They don't do that in public school. As guardians & Grandparents our reasons were that our Grandson would be in a Blessed setting where he can grow spiritually & emotionally. He has had major loss in his short life & the School & the Church have given him a sense of belonging. The big plus is that Ms. Charlotte gives the kids motivation after school to not only do homework but to have the ability to get together with the other kids. Everyone is treated equally at our school & I really love that. Plus as Grandparents we really love the young parents being such a great example of parenting their kids for the future generations."
- Betty Ann, Bob and Cole Z. (4th grade)
"We send our son to St. Jude's School for a great academic, moral and spiritual education, for its sense of community and the caring that is shown by the staff and teachers."
- Debra and Kieran H.
"The people that work there are nice. My teachers guide me and help me, probably more than any other school around here. The kids at school have a good sense of humor and are nice!"
- Tighe (5th Grade)
"While we have been St. Jude parish members for ten years, we have finally joined the St. Jude School family this year and we couldn't be more pleased! We asked our kids how they like their new school. Katherine, our 2nd grader, said: "I like St. Jude because it's a really good school, and you can play fun games like soccer." Lauren, our 6th grader, said: "I like it because everyone has welcomed me and I've made a lot of friends. Everyone is so nice there." We agree! Thank you to all the faculty, parents, and children who have welcomed us so lovingly and generously. We truly feel the "family" atmosphere and we love it."
- Chris and Lori T.
"As parents of a Jr. High student, we appreciate the Outdoor Education Program that St. Jude's School provides for our 6th & 7th graders. Educating our students outside the classroom through field trip to Cachuma Lake and Catalina Island that include nature hikes, learning about wildlife, observing marine animals, being taught the important of nature and working together is great."
- David and Rebecca S..
"We have really enjoyed the feeling of community both religiously and parentally at SJS. Being new to the school we have been overwhelmed by the kindness of the school children and the welcoming we have received as a new family."
- Sharon & Matt G-D.
"We knew we were blessed when we were guided to St. Jude! Almost two school years have now passed and we are sure that this is the right place for our family. The religious and spiritual impact on our 1st grader, Maya, is obvious, and she continues to thrive and excel academically. Maya loves her teachers at SJS, appreciates what she learns daily in her classes and can't wait to see her wonderful friends every day!"
